Josh Clem's Final StuntWars run

Here's my final run from Sunday. I am usually very passive, but I was dissapointed that I qualified 7th but had to go first out on Sunday. Last I heard we were suppose to go reverse order of qualifying. I felt I put down a top 5 run but I guess the judges felt different. Anyways, I finished 7th place. Here's the clip.

Re: Josh Clem's Final StuntWars run

OK. Personally, you nailed that power point so you deserve like first first place. Its like way better than just first!!! hahahaha.. I already told ya how i felt about your run and the way it was scored... However, i can see some things that the judges may have weighed into to overall score.. I dont think they get that when you run on the side of the bike then jump to spreader you arent just fucking up and recovering... Also, from what i hear, and what i saw, theres no way they are putting enough weight on difficulty... From what i heard someone who does a hc pass, a spreader pass, and a ss pass clean would score better than someone who did a circle combo and messed up a little bit.. Kinda like when you set the rev lim mana coast down... Its hecka gay but i think that was a big problem with the judging there... I dont really think someone fucking up foot in trunk circles should have beat the run i just watched but hey whatever right? O well i got some top secret moves i might let you in on for next year....

Re: Josh Clem's Final StuntWars run

you're run had some sweet tricks in it, but I agree with Marc, the finish on a couple REALLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYY HARD tricks wasn't as clean as I've seen you pull off......the spreader coast and ralph louis coast were set down a lil early compared to what I've seen you do. I definately think, based on Dan's run, you shoulda placed somewhere in the top 3! Crowd was definately pumped up.

I think it would clear up the stuff bout the running next to the bike and jumping to spreader if everyone gave the judges a written line-up of the tricks they were gonna do in their run......then they can judge it with difficulty in mind.

I'm not saying I should have got first. I just feel I should have been in the top5. It sucks that you can throw a run down like mine, and still be out $ for the trip to the event. There was an estimated 12,000 people in the stands and they only paid 5 spots. that means if you put a run together equal to the one I ran, or even do a little better, you won't get paid! Where does that leave 95% of stunters? What's the point in traveling across the states if the bar is set so high that you have to be at the top of the Pro's just to cash. I feel for the sake of upcoming stunters and even more motivation for Pro's, why not take some of that profit and pay deeper so there is a reason to show up.

I agree with you.......thats one of the reasons I don't go to comps.....I'm not good enough to compete in any event, and if I was getting to the point where I could compete in one or more events I would have slim chances to be able to place high enough to pay for my trip and I can't afford that kinda money to make the trip without help!

when I watched Dan's run and your run I don't think theres a 6 place difference between the runs......he executed most of his tricks really cleanly, but your run had 10xX harder tricks and the crowd was alot more pumped in your run..........you can hear it in the background! Dan's run sounds like a tennis match, everyone quiet waiting for the time to go "ahhhhh" if he wrecks or waiting til the judge lowers his arm so they can clap......your run sounds like a Chiefs game, people are cheering at different levels with every trick! Not saying you should have gotten first, or not gotten first, but 7th place???? Seriously!

+1, couldn't have said it better myself.

Also I can't get the video to play, software error/missing plugin or something on my end. Is it hosted up anywhere else?

I thought your run was sick. You seemed to cover all bases and also kept looking at and bucking up the crowd. I would have thought you scored better too....
