Question Paint the frame?

Hey I would like to paint the frame of my 400ex and I was wondering, do you need to sandblast it first or anything? Could I just like spray paint right over it? If anyone has done this before please tell me how it came out and post a pic if you got one..thanks

sandblast would be best .. then sand it by hand.. then a decent primer.. and if u could afford u could have the frame powder coated .. if not paint and clear coat would be best!!!

If you are going to powder coat it you will need to strip the frame down and the easiest way is to sandblast it then ship it off to be PCed. If you want to use spray paint or brush on you will need to still strip it down and spend more time on prep then you do acutally painting it. If you are looking for long term coloring then PC it, if you don't mind all the work then [aint it but it will not last as long or be as durbale.
