Trx 450???

Today I was out riding with one of my friends. He's got a Honda TRX 450 all stock. We were messin around doin some wheelies and as I'm watching him struggle. So i hop off my Z400 tell him lemme see that thing. Jump on try a few. My god it was awful!! It was either wide open or idling , no mid range what so ever. Is there something wrong with his or is that just the way these quads are? I rode a stock yzf 450 which seemed to ride just like this thing sucky lol even though my Z isnt super fast god I'm glad i dont own either one of those quads. Anyone wheelie either what are the thoughts?

Re: Trx 450???

i think its a matter of your being so used to your machine and just your personal preference is what your used to and good on...personally i had the same problem but now i dont have a machine so i can get on a machine and rip it like i own it

they're made for the track. all those 450's are like that. horrible in the trails. horrible on two wheels. (unless yer doin 50mph) but damn do they fly around the track.

The 450s are perfect for the trails idk what ur talking about. im a woods racer and i run gncc and everyone runs 450s just because they have power everywhere. they have good low end and good mid and top. there the all around bike. you just have to know how to ride one

Re: Trx 450???

I have an '05 Trx 450 and I absolutley love it. I ride it out in the dunes and it will go up anything, any hill no problem(stock too). Great for jumping too. I wouldn't turn my 450 in for any other quad!
