Tattoo's over scars?

I have a 2 foot scar from my forearm to my upper arm passing through my elbow. Which I can live with and I was told the elbow hurts like a mother fucker. I'm going to be getting some pretty nasty scars on my chest in about 2 months through surgery. Can you tattoo over scars? Will it stay? Does it hurt? Or should I just get the tattoo and skip over the scars? Thanks in advanced!

Re: Tattoo's over scars?

i agree. you should leave them visable. if you choose not to, it can be done. you'll most likely need touch up work on the scar tissue cuz its a pain in the balls. talk to your tattooer about it first.

Re: Tattoo's over scars?

yea anything on a scar tends to bleed out more just cuz the type of skin.

n yea the elbow sucks, hurts like hell and usually has to get done twice. mine is almost solid black (or was) til the ink blew out. now i gotta get it touched up.

Re: Tattoo's over scars?

Depends on what type of scar?
I have 2 large scars down my arm from breaking it in half and it took good to getting covered?
