Re: sleeve

I dont have one man, I have one tat on my right arm but I wish I would have got it bigger or gotten a sleve and I want more ink when I decide what i want....

Do whatever makes you happy man, you only live once, fvck what everyone else says/thinks...

CAN it limit you possibly in a few aspects, sure..... but I dont look at shit like that, live every day like its your last.... as long as the design itself is something u think u would want forever, like something meaningful/important to you then i say go for it man...

Re: sleeve

First off, I would like to start by saying I have one arm sleeved, and im starting on the other.........I love it every day and would never go back.

HOWEVER, If your going back and forth between wanting it and not, I would advise for you not to get it. Its a big plunge to take, and if your not 100%, its very possible that some years down the line you will regret it.

Think real real hard about it. You will be choosing a lifestyle, because it affects so many aspects of your life. Some people will discrimiate, you might have trouble getting a new job if you ever had to, ect, ect....

OH and for gods sake find a good artist. DO NOT try to look around for the best deal, or a hook up. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

+1000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Everyone tells you their guy is the best blah blah blah. Let the ink do the talking. When i show off my ink people are so impressed with the detail and at how crisp and clean the lines are. I would never go to anyone else for ink. Sure it might cost a bit more, but it's gonna be there a long time.

And as far as getting a full sleeve. Well i wanted to get a full sleeve, but i work in a professional office and decided against it b/c of that. I do however have a half sleeve that you can't see when wearing a short sleeved dress shirt. Soon i will be starting on the other arm. Like Canvas said. it's a big step so make sure it's what you want.

Live by this mans words.

you have no idea how many fvcked up tattoos i see just because 'my buddy does tattoos and he said hed hook me up' most of the time, those 'parlors' are above biker bars and tattoo junk ass stuff. there are TONS of amazing artists out there...but dont settle for one...do some research and look into it.

also, you might have to travel to get a tattoo from an artist who youre really into. or you could even take a weekend and go to a tattoo convention somewhere. youll definitely get a good idea of what you want there. JUST DONT SETTLE ! get what you want.

edit: I myself want a 3/4 sleeve. something i can cover up if necessary. my company isnt too bad and when i go onsite at JSC (NASA) ive spotted a couple of guys with tats on their necks. pretty cool.

Re: sleeve

Yeah Ive spent alot of time in tattoo shops because im friends with a couple different artists. It always cracks me up when people come in asking how much for this, how much for that, then try to barter down the price. Then they say that some other shop will do it for less bla blah, and its usually some crappy shop they refer to. Were just like go ahead and go get the cheap pne, youll regret it later...... WHY would you do that for something thats PERMANANT? Some people are freakin just retarted

Re: sleeve

Good ink is not cheap, cheap ink is not good! I am currently on my way to finishing my first sleeve, then I am sure that I will move on to my other arm. I am in no hurry! But don't get sleeves because other people think its cool, do it for you homie!

Yeah im getting the tattoo for myself, not to impress anyone. its gonna be another month or two cause i have to get the money together to get started. Figure when i need to can just wear long sleeve to cover it up.

Re: sleeve

I think about 30hrs so far, and about 20 to go. Sleeves are pricey and time consuming(full color) I usually pay about $45-$50 an hour.

I wish i paid $50 an hour. My artist chrages 150-200 an hour. But he always hooks me up a little because he does all my work.
