Motard handbrake just wondering if anyone here is having trouble adapting to the handbrake on their motard.....I mean I can do sitdown seat standers and spreaders and ride at balance point but im having alot of trouble using the clutch at the same time....and a motard takes alot of clutch. anyone doing handbrake coasters....high chair coasters. and its weird using just the handbrake and no clutch...I think the clutch is the most important part of executing tricks on a motard.. I have ran a handbrake on both the left and the right side its just not working for me......c'mon Ryan Moore...chine in.

Re: Motard handbrake Its all about the setup, I run a msr pro rapter clutch, cut down a bit, stacked on top of the 1/2 inch nissan master. Index finger on the clutch, middle finger on the handbrake and use the both at the same time all the time. seat stander coaster, high chair circles, almost all my circle combos where I am not on the foot pedal, I am slipping the clutch and using the handbrake at the same time, clutch in most of the time coasting around in circles and stalling out at balance point into figure eigth combos. check the pic, clutch is pulled in doing a 2 foot in bar circle combo. It takes some practice time to get used to. ![]() Last edited by Ryan Moore : 07-26-2007 at 10:46 PM.

Re: Motard handbrake My hydraulic set up on this KTM is a bit stiff.... I don't know if I'll be able to modulate it like my suzuki with the MSR. Setting up the HB, I'm not worried about at all. It is definately the clutch pull that has me worried. I need to use two fingers most of the time now, anyone know of an easy-pull kit, or a good fix for a stiff hydrolic clutch lever? I am starting to see how the need to slip the clutch will manifest itself as my skills are increasing quicker than I thought they would... I wonder how much will stunt gearing help the need to slip the clutch as much?

Re: Motard handbrake I found this while stumbling through youtube the other night, it might be old. but then again it might be so obscure that no one has seen it yet... I'm not sure who it is, and how I even found it. But it had alot of good engine sounds I thought that might help you with slipping the clutch in circles. This guy obviously isn't the best at it either, but sometimes if I can just hear one of my friends bikes at the lot instead of hip-hop beats or something like on a DVD. It seems to help me out. Even the noises they make when they make mistakes will tell me what not to do. I'm hoping all this advice helps me out too, I'm ready to transfer the fiddy skills to motard skills... and fiddy circles are all chop no drop, what is this crap about slippin the clutch?? LOL What am I going to do when I got to slip the clutch ANd work the hand brake at the same time?? LMAO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vdDNPzXTG0
