Don't let the age fool you. The bike handles and runs very well. Here's the low-down.... it's a Honda 83' XR500R. I found it leaning against a friends garage, bought it cheap, and then dumped a ton of $$$ into it to make it like new. I went through the entire bike... all new cables, bearings, fluids, brakes, chain/sprokets, seat cover.... EVERYTHING! I took pics of the entire process and will glady show them to serious buyers. I stripped the bike down to the frame and started from scratch. You can cleary see the difference in the pics. The only rims I could find to fit my stock hubs were from a BMW touring bike. It's a 19" up front with a 17" in the rear, but because of the side wall difference, the outside diameter is equal on both tires. YES, it'll back in under power!!! I also had a Honda 440EX sport quad... same motor as the XR400. This 24yr old bike would smoke it! This bike is stored in Evergreen, Colorado just outside of Denver. I currently reside in Rochester, NY. If there's a serious buyer, I will glady fly out to meet you to go over the bike. $1,200/obo Please ask me questions! I love talking about this bike! I've never heard of an XR 2 stroke dude??? It's deffinitly a thumper and will still hang with the newer bikes. Yes, it's street legal. The top pics show mirror and directionals, which have since been removed because you don't need em in Colorado. The rims and tires are only worth about $700. Please keep in mind they're bolted to 83' XR hubs with a drum brake in the rear. But the rims are BMW touring rims. Have Mike PM me for more details if he's serious. Thanks.
