Cheng Shin (sp?)

You can keep your stock rims and just change out the tires. 10X cheaper, but you are limited in what kind of tread you can get.

Re: YZ250F street tires..

if you are gonna buy new rims just buy the motard rims, you can buy the 17 inch rims and lace them to the stock hubs and it a lot cheaper

like check this out

Re: YZ250F street tires..

I have a 80/100-21 rim in the front and a 100/90-19 the rear. How much of a fatter tire will the stock rims handle?

Re: YZ250F street tires..

well i dont know exactly, but i would buy wider rims that are the same size it would cost the same as 17 inch rims, and then you have to factor in lacing and truing, i am pretty sure you just send your hubs to wheelwright and they do it for you all for the 500$ itsa good deal.
