Ktm Smr

Take a look at this machine, $5600 otd. I was going to build a honda, but you can't even come close to getting all that the KTM offers for the price.

I've been working with a supermortard race team all this season for a film my company is doing. All the guys on the team ride crf450s. They've all blown up KTMs, Cannondales and Vertimatatis(sp). One of the guys turned down a sponsorship from KTM because they are not as good as the Honda.
The nickname they gave to the KTM is KTLemon.

ktm's well, most european bikes it seems take alot of matnience. especially there race motors. what year is that?

The 06 KTM is going to have two models the 450 and now for 06 the 560 instead of a 525. At the races I go to the KTM riders clean up! Cool thing about KTM is you can get a plate from the dealership without checking in with the state unlike Honda and Yamaha! Husky are pretty tight but problem with them is PARTS. The Italians answer is when you order parts from them is that it will get there when it gets there. Hopefully you get something. I'm probably going to through down on 560 KTM 06 model!

Cause the honda don't have valve issues and never blow up... Just to let you know, but thanks for the reply...

It's an 05 and for the money I don't think there's anything better to go racing on. Sure, I'd actually prefer a Honda, but to set it up comparably would be way more money. Now that I own the KTM I'm finding all types of things I really like about it, for example adjusting the valves. The KTM has an adjustable rocker arm setup, the honda's shim underbucket (read way more work to adjust). Adjustable stering head angle, and more.
