Re: 1100 foot coaster vid

How would having the idle up make a difference in a coaster?

dont do coasters i take it ....i dont know the physics behind it but with the idle up the bike floats alot easier and practically carries it self....and its not just on my bike, its on everyone ive ever done a coaster on.....they are called "cheater coasters" lol...still a coaster just alot easier to go farther

and having idle up makes a huge difference. depending on how high it is, it will pull the bike a little and near the end when you are going slow some cheaters slip their clutch to get the motor to pull them further.

you can test it by puttinga bike on the stand, putting it in gear with the clutch in, you'll see that the tire will spin on it's own a little. now do that with it at like 4k rpms and it'll be quite a bit.
