F4i Rebuild

I just bought this bike for $350. Less than a year ago the fire department had to put the flames out on this bike on the side of the interstate. It belonged to a buddy of mine. I have had about 20 people tell me that this bike would never work and it was a waste of time. It is taking a while because I just got laid off last month, but it is coming along. I will update the pics whenever something changes.

This is when I brought it home...

Re: F4i Rebuild

Well, since there wasn't much to it, the teardown only took about 20 minutes...

Re: F4i Rebuild

If you live anywhere near Indianapolis and need some sandblasting done, look up a company called "Dependable Sandblasting". They did my frame and swingarm and had it ready the same day for $45.

I just dropped off a subframe and the wheels to be blasted yesterday. Aslo, I have to rebuild the head because there is rust on top of the valves.

Re: F4i Rebuild

Yeah we just did an 600rr that we bought for 100.00 that was our friends that caught fire after he looped it. Did it during winter and have it all done now. cant even tell there was anything wrong with the bike ever. just make sure you do the oil change run it for about 25 miles and then do it again. it was dirty inside after them foamed the bike. looking good.
also if you need any powder coating work done hit me up doing that stuff cheap as hell and fast turnaround
