work in progress... Stock F4 ---> Stunt bike

Hey guys,

Just thought I would post up some pictures of the bike I'm working on. About a month ago I got a '99 F4 completely stock. I did all the work myself and that includes: an SI cage, SI subcage (for f4i made to fit f4), FI 12 o'clock bar, +8 rear sprocket, etc. Here are a couple of pics... what do you guys think?

I'm still waiting on a new shorty two-bros exhaust... then going to dent the tank and cut half of the windscreen along with the mirrors off.

Yeah, thanks. I can't wait. I've been waiting for this exhaust that I ordered from HAI for about a month and a half... it's really pissing me off now.

Call them...it shouldn't take that long unless it's on back order from the manufacture.

I have emailed them several times and called them once. They told me that it's because they are really busy because everyone's buying things and that the exhaust was shipped off to be cut. If I had known this, I would have just bought a regular one and cut it myself... this is ridiculous.

Re: work in progress... Stock F4 ---> Stunt bike

What exhaust is on there now??

If you have the stock exhaust you should cut that down..

Let me know when you want to destroy that thing I have a couple of spots if that thing isn't super loud...

I have no idea what exhaust that is... but it's not stock. It's carbon fiber and it's all beat up to hell. Previous owner has dropped the bike. It's all fck'ed up (the exhaust)... so I'm still waiting for my other exhaust that I purchased a month and a half ago.

Thanks, I'll let you know as soon as I get a new front rim (a friend ran over a curb) and fix the front brakes (rotors are bent).

Re: work in progress... Stock F4 ---> Stunt bike

Ok, after being frustrated with HAI for waiting over 5 weeks for my two bros, I decided to buy a D&D pipe and cut it myself. The exhaust is SUPER LOUD... I don't know... might have to get a different exhaust later on... but looks good though!

Why didn't you just cut the muffler you had on it before? instead of buying a new one and cutting it?

Because the bike had been dropped by previous owner, and the exhaust that was on was carbon fiber and had MANY cracks. It wouldn't be worth it.

Pretty sharp bike, no doubt.

I'd shorten up the bar a bit... just my opinion. Big jagged pointy sharp flat bars scare me.

Re: work in progress... Stock F4 ---> Stunt bike

Get rid of the Double Decibel exhaust and throw on a round bar. I like the looks of round bars, either that or shorten it up a lil bit. But the bike looks good.
