Re: show us your trucks.. plus info on rams?

Steve's is a diesel. Either one is gonna be expensive as hell to drive. I would buy the diesel if you can afford it. Cummins motor is the shit, the older ones are prone to tranny problems though. Diesel is a workhorse and will last much longer. Love my diesel ....

Re: show us your trucks.. plus info on rams?

I love my Ram. But get the Diesel or you'll hate the mileage. I get 17-20mpg on my dully. I do have a straight 4in exhaust, chip, and other mods that help. Look for the 04.5 model as it has the best engine/tranny configuration. Nothing beats the Ram in power potential and engine reliability. There are transmission (auto) issues in the older models. They may fail around 70-100K miles if you're abusing them or towing heavy loads. Small price to pay for the best engine and what can be a very good looking truck with some mods. Check out the link.

Re: show us your trucks.. plus info on rams?

thats what i heard my reps don't know anything though..

gm or ford needs to come out with a 4 or 6 cyl turbo diesel electric hybrid with direct injection and no idle getting like 50 mpg out of a 1500 would be insane

Ya that would be sick, hopefully diesel eventually goes down in price.

There is no logical explanation for the rapid price increase of it over the last year. There is virtually no refinement process to it, it is cheap to produce yet when it started getting more popular with consumers it suddenly doubled in price and became more expensive than gas .... hmmmm ....

Diesel fuel takes two fewer processing steps to make. This means that we can refine more fuel at the refinery which will increase our total fuel production with the same crude resources.

It seems that in this country people or things that can produce better results are penalized, while bad ideas like ethanol are supported. I guess diesel needs a good farm lobby.
