Yo I tried to dent my tank on the XR-50 by jumping on it and it just cracks and shatters pieces why isn't it denting?

i accidently dented the gas tank of my 1985 z50 with my nuts/boney butt cheeks comming down from high chairs...but to do it on puropse

the new ones hold you fine with that bulky gas cap to catch your nutz on

Dude bring that to a welder, a exhaust place would do it for cheap if not free.

Yeah that was my last resort but I wanted to ride today Sunday so the JB weld worked. If it doesn't hold up I will get it welded for sure.

i've dented quite a few tanks and never had that happen wtf.....

i'd say you dented the lip down and then in to far towards the outsides causing the center to pull apart and tear

should have started at the base of the cap and worked it back.
