D.I.Y Cage

Guys, check with u, has anyone DIY their cage before? i went to my local metal welding area, they charged mi SD $380 which is alot as i can actually oder from 905. i wish to DIY on my K5.pls advice bro.
i need e dimension for e bar, e thickness n e weld part.

my buddy just welded one for his f2. he used like 7/8" d.o.m. steel tubing and some 1" flat steel for mounting plates. We just used a measuring tape and started cutting and welding. Came out really sick too. I am still waiting for him to post pictures. Try to google a cage for your bike and see where they bolt to ect, ect. and just copy your favorite design with you own little input. His is like a mix between a sick innovations and the powers he saw on my bike. .02

Thanks motopsycho231, really appreciate ur help. i seriously hope ur fren will post his DIY cage soon. as for welding n cutting e tube, it's not a problem for mi, however, is e bending part of e tube is most concern to mi.
