it isn´t a simple 12 bar... it goes near the rear footpegs inside the tail and it has 2 pieces to grab the subframe at the upper and lower section... if I cut it 5" (close to the rear seat like a round bar) and i install a pair of powers sub ties...do you thing it will resist ok?

ehh, my whole experience with 12 bars is that they dont distribute the force as evenly as a roundbbar does thus makeing that chinvy aluminum crap subframe crack. roundbar won't fix that problem but it does seem to not stress the subfram AS bar. plus if you loop and endo or wreck a wheelie, you don't have a sharp 90 degree corner swinging away at the flesh on your legs and back. This is just me opinion and experience, but 12 bars are a primative thing of the past in comparison to the sleek look and functionality of you average roundbar. good luck eigther way, but I would rather feel uncomforatable for a while with my foot in the side then lose my calf on a sharp ass long 12 bar that one wrong smack will fuck my 04 05 gsxr for good. I went with a steel subframe myself and all problems seemed to be solved.

2001 Suzuki Gsxr 600
Went from a full on stunt bike cage and 12bar streetfightered (thats how i bought it) now i putting it back together to a normal street bike stripped the cage and 12bar off and the street fighter headlight..

My gixxer 600 with my paint job. I had a guy paint it and haited it so I road it for a while and got sick of the paint job and painted it myself.
