yeah I did the mod. but the cable I got was realy short. And had to stick it the only place I could get to it.. I would rather have it up high where i can turn it with my right hand.. thats why I was asking what year and bike that cable was from.. I think I got a 99 600 RR adjuster.

I used a trick that Ho Hey posted up awhile ago. You use a length of hose. I think I got fuel line. well anyways you put it around the end of the idle cable, tha black thing ya grab and actually spin, and you ziptie it on there. The hose I got was even a little small so I heated it up from about a foot away on the very end of it with my mini torch and slid it on there. once it hardened again and ziptied around it its not comeing off unless i razorblade it off. I drilled a hole in my fairing the exact size and ran it through. it pops out near my cage and could not work any better.

99 600rr? What is that ?

anyways, 99 F4 idle cable, long enough for me, I got mine routed right beside where the front of the tank bolts on.
