Last shot of the 327

exhaust was suprisingly clean..its getting new anyway..

On her way out

A mess

Stripping the engine bay

Getting the floors ready for por 15

subframe after por 15

Ready to spray the engine compartment

Cleaning the floors/chassis gave me a wonderful case of black lung, good timez...

Where did you order the por 15 from? I need to do my truck's oil pan before winter.

So i pulled the fuel system, mounted the regulator/filter on the rear frame rail, installed all the new stainless lines, and por'd the rest of the chassis/ inside of the trunk, did more detailing of the engine bay, and droppeing in the engine and trans today...
looking better

You wanna do my Chrysler next? I have been thinking about dropping a Hemi in it. Just can't get myself to take out the original drive line.

Well today got the front brakes done, and some wiring, I also hooked up the power steering return line so that was the last steering part to install

Not too fancy, but better than before..

Drums are for band nerds. Disks are for horsepower junkies

gotta redo my whole brake system on the 79 and do a disk set up on the rears.

Well I had the last 5 days off, so I finished up all the wiring on the engine harness, and most of the new stereo wiring. Also spent 6 hours trying to bleed the brakes, took off the m/c twice to bench bleed it, and tried to vacume bleed it, all with no results, turns out the master cyl/ booster I have requires a spacer to work properly, so thats on its way (it was supposed to be included with my kit, no mention of it in the instructions either) oh well, its being shipped to me for free.. cant complain about that, just wish I didn't blow a day working on it. radiator/fans/shroud is on its way, when that arrives I can install it and my trans cooler and I will be very close to running. fuel tank will be installed over thanksgiving.. that will complete the fuel system, so the only thing left will be exhaust/ suspension mods..

the rears suspension was in sorry shape the more I dug into it...

Broken mono leaf

The passenger side was broken the same way..

New multi leaf installed

Intake fabbed up.. nuthin' fancy

PCM is out having VATS removed, and a few other things (no egr, cat protect/lightoff off, ect) Still need to install passenger side leaf, waiting on a new front mount to arrive. have the new 15x8 rallys for the rear all cleaned up, waiting on tires (255/60/15). once I get the spring mount, the suspension can go in, then the tank/ fuel lines and it should fire up.. fans/radiator should be here within a week.
