18 footer but I also tow a 24' pontoon boat and a 23' Stingray cabin cruiser. My 18' weighs about 4000 lbs with the trailer.

u may be better off with a diesel. niner did some calculations and posted them up, and even with high diesel prices u still come out a tad bit better with mileage. plus diesel pulls much stronger than gas.

That's what I'm thinking but Niner was working off his diesel numbers. He has a tuner and other mods. That really increases the fuel mileage. Plus I'm looking to get rid of my payment. I want to just buy something under $10K. Diesel trucks aren't that cheap yet.

Yeah the toyota would probably struggle a bit with that. I think the limit is about 1 ton.

I have a Jeep Liberty rated at 5000 lb towing capacity and I wouldn't feel comfortable towing my boat very far with it. It does ok with the 2 place snowmobile trailer but I much prefer the extra power of the V8 in my truck.

Toyota only has a 2 litre in it lol

With that it was costing me about $80 for 150 miles I think from memory.

It crossed my mind but Dodges are so ugly. I'll probably buy an F250 with the 5.4 gas engine or maybe the V10.

My cousin has 2 supercharged 5.0 mustangs. We took one of them to Ohio and got 22 mpg on the highway. Not bad for almost 400 hp.
