I have a chance to trade for a 2001 gsxr 750.
This guy wants to trade me for my banshee that i am selling for 3600, for his 2001 750. I am wondering, how are those bikes....are there any problems on those years, and what should i look for when i see it? is it a good stunt bike...also is it worth the trade, how much are they worth? thanks

Very good bike. The 01's have no known problems yet. The 00's had tranny problems that were fixed for the 01's. I got an 01 750 and I love it. I'd say as long as the bike runs good and is not smashed do the trade right now. You'd def. be making out if it's as good as it sounds.

Yup, ok, ill def try and do it, he says there are some cracked plastics but that is it....that bike IS fuel injected right? cool. Ill keep yall posted

I've had mine for about a year and I love it. They have a problem with the cam chain tensioner but all you have to do is replace it with a manual one and you're golden. The early model 01's still had the tranny problem (just replaced it) but its no big deal.
Also... the part of the frame where top bolts on the sub frame bolt on are prone to breaking off after a nice tumble across the concrete... But a little welding and its good as new....
Other than that... fantastic bike... I run with liter bikes no problem... can pull her up on one whenever I want to... and damn she looks good.
