Is it true that in Florida .....

No bike insurance is required to legally ride on the streets ??
A friend of mine was telling me this the other day after hearing me
gripe about paying $2000 for this years insurance..and thats 1 way only !!

Up here in Ottawa the insurance is just freaking crazy ....
And the no insurance fine is $5000...

Just curious...

Cheers

but wait, the blue is upon you, protecting you from the outside, and you are trying your hardest to be deeper into the pit, the protective covering, the best and longest 6 seconds of your life.
And at last, the shinning light of day comes upon you and you realize...........
I can not be closer to god..

Same thing in Montana. I think they're just being nice, though. Seeing as the average family income is around $18,000. It's like giving ya some astroglide before an ass-raping.

Re: Is it true that in Florida .....

Wow...thanks guys....what a place....Why the hell am I not in Florida ??
Year round riding and no insurance required...
Does it get any better?

Up here I ride to maybe, 3 spots all season......Hardly ever go on rides anymore..and for that I have to pay thru the nose...

I am contemplating taking the bike off the road and just trailering it to our local dragstrip hookup...but I would miss the Friday night get togethers at the local hangout. Just isnt the same pulling up in the Ford Escort....lol

Oh well, thanks for the answers..
Cheers

Is this only the case if you own the bike, and you don't have a loan out on it?
