Stupid newbie question
Stupid newbie question
I'm always fascinated at the videos/dvd's that I watch and have to shake my head at some of the abilities of some of these guys (you guys)
But one stunt in particular has me now puzzled.
I rode down to Key West while I was at bike week (dang what a butt killer) and crossed those very long bridges.
In judgment day there’s a wheelie across the longest one (10 miles I believe) and he's keeping it up for what seems to be an eternity. Now at the time I was truly impressed. But after riding across that VERY bridge and experiencing winds that knocked me into oncoming traffic I am MORE than impressed
My question is…..in a situation like that with massive cross winds…how the hell does a person wheelie and keep it there?

Re: Stupid newbie question
Bridges are a pian in the *** if you get them on a windy day. You basically just half to fight the wind by leaning as you would going into a turn on a mountian. Obviously it is different, yet the same general concept applies. What REALLY sucks is when you get pushed onto the painted line that is next to the middle barrier dividing the traffic. That happened to me and the painted lined caused me to go off the road and into the median. Luckily there was about a 3ft gap from the hwy to the middle barrier or I would have been toast.
By the way...what color or kind of bike was it?
