Actually, they are under Competitors ---->> Stuntlife DTE Board
Johnny also set up his own forums on his site DTE Forum
and the main site is http://drivingtoendanger.com/

as for the jackets, they are custom made Vanson jackets. http://www.vansonleathers.com

hope that helped newbie!

Johnny is the only rider with a jacket right now, the guys that split off and formed Core6 don't wear theirs anymore, I dunno what happened to the jackets. Those are DTE exclusive jackets, and I don't think you could have one made, you'd have to ask Johnny.

Re: DTE Jackets?

the jackets are custom Vanson work. they were based off an off the shelf model and then customized to each riders' preference. the graphics are also custom. they are very nice and i still have mine. the custom work on them as far as the design goes cannot be touched by many other manufacturers. currently, the core6 team is wearing deathrage jackets. they are cheaper in price, heavier and better in quality, and include CE armour. they do not have as many options for customizing as the Vansons did however.

as far as quality, neither of the above mentioned can be touched by a one off company...their reputation is impeccable.

Re: DTE Jackets?

Let me re-phrase what i was getting at. No, i can not take a jacket that was made by another company and re-create it. especialy if the logos, and names are trademarked. What i was saying was (and im not bad mouthing vanson) that why pay $900 bucks for a custom jacket from a company that doesnt really support the stunt riding sport. When you can get the same quality, jacket maybe even better, for alot cheaper from Stunt-wear.com a company that supports the sport 110% If you moderators wana ban me thats fine go ahead but im just voiceing out my opinion and pork chop i dont even know who you are and if i dont know you then that means you dont know me.Ive been trying to get my name out there to all the stunters about my gear but yet everyone still goes to the companys that dont support stunt riding and keep getting ripped off . Yes thier gear is good but guess what mine is better. If you would like to see proof ill be at stuntwars with my gear come and check it out.

Enough said

The only company that I trust that is out there supporting stunters is Speedrag. Hate to sound like in ***, but I have heard nothing but complaints about Stuntwear . Of course this is just hearsay information, but it comes from credible riders and certainly a reputation I would not want to have over my shoulders. Goodluck to you and your company though.

Re: DTE Jackets?

ummm Jimmy....i think you left me off your list... :YEAH

And just some Vanson sponsors the starboys and partial sponsor some other stunt teams, this i know to be a fact....if your gonna say it make it the truth, not opinion...Simon "The British Guy" at Vanson is a cool cat. they dont hit the stunt scene 110% because they have a market already.

There is another company that i know, which has jackets in production geared toward the stunt community and they will be a top contender. People are already making pre-orders to these cats. i saw the prototypes and they look nice.

Re: DTE Jackets?

talk about shameless plugs here.

How about I designed the DTE jacket and Vanson supplied the leather. I designed the Deathrage jacket and they supplied the leather. Seriously, it's all in what you want in your protection. As far as I'm concerned, everyone else's jacket can suck *****. Next thing you know your friend, your friends' friend, your friends' friends' friends, and you all wear the same jacket. They're all mass produced, and it fits no one. I don't know about you but I'd rather pay $800 for a custom tailered, custom designed jacket than $300 for the same 'ol Rag everyone has.

Lata,
Bri

PS. And if you think I'm wrong, explain to me why everyone seems to recognize my jacket designs and then comes on here and talks about. Custome is the *****.... can't put a price tag on them.

PPS. For the record, I like my Vanson jacket. It's thin and you have tons of movement. My Deathrage jacket is thick and seems to be of higher quality.

Re: DTE Jackets?

Yes jimmy your right, my first year doing this was a rough one i ran into all kinds of business problems, but i got it all worked out and im trying to make up for lost time. Yes speedrag is a company that supports stunt riding but, StuntWear has been around longer then speedrag the only reason why they grew so much is because they have the funding to advertise in magazines, etc. Like i said my first time around was a bad one and i love stunting and i love gear so i said ill give it another shot. It hasnt been bad so far but its a slow process trying to get everyones trust again. Im hopeing that at stuntwars ill be able toi meet alot of you and maybe you all will understand.
Im not trying to get rich im not even trying to make a living at it all i want to do is get my gear out there and see you guys stuntin it.

Re: DTE Jackets?

depends on what time of year and how busy they are. Our Vanson jackets we told them to take whatever time they needed. It took them about 2-3 months. The Deathrage jackets took about 5-6 weeks.

ditto, we had vanson turn ours around in about 2 months for 4 of us and they turned around the other in a couple weeks...(also had a lot of custom work done to sizes and the graphics)
