Why only xr50s?

Just wondering why this is the dominant mini bike to be stunted. How come no Yamahas, Kawis, Suzukis, etc.? How come it's always 50cc size too? Don't really see the 75, 80, etc.

All the others are 2-strokes= no good for stunting. There are quite a few people who stunt xr80's and 100's though, as well as ttr125's.

personally I would have gotten an 80, 100, 150, 230 for serious practice, but the 50 is cool cause you can ride the f-cker anywhere and most of the time cops don't take you seriously.

we have 10 person heat races at my apt complex/speed way and we stunt all over this place all day/night. nobody cares and people are usually watching us while drinking. Now I do the same shit on my big bike works out well

I'd get a xr70 or xr80 just for the clutch... But a XR50 is like a damn skateboard, throw it in the car and just roll. See a spot and get out and rip...

Back to the original question . . . The kawi, suzuki and yamaha are all either shaft drive, or 2-speeds (some even fully automatic) Because the HONDA was at the top of the list for what stunters need in a little bike, it caught on and now its basically the only 50cc you can get aftermarket parts for.

4 of us bought them at the same time and mine was the fastest right off the showroom. Made me laugh.
