Re: weather cond. for a wheelie

just conterwieght n2 the wind, whe faster u go, the more dangerous it becomes. b/c cintrifugal effect isnt strong enough to counter act, therefore u just get blown n2 a wall or watever it may b, A LOT FASTER, also giving less time to correct the movement. do them slower. and if ur an experienced rider u should b fine.

p.s. wear more protection in this case.

holy thread digging batman

And sigh.. Once again, your talking out your ass when you have no idea. A big heavy sport bike with plastics is hell in the wind. Light supermotos are EASY in the wind..

I will wheelie in 25mph wind with 35mph gusts, but I only do parking lot, not highway

I like low wind for the highway

Re: weather cond. for a wheelie

I rode through a hurricane one time and never again. It's not the wind, it's the shit that's blown by the wind (tree limbs, orange traffic barrels, power lines)

Re: weather cond. for a wheelie

Got no choice... windy as all hell in central NM all spring. I ride in the wind, gusty or whatever. I have been "blown over" due to gusts, but if I waited it would be months without riding....

Re: weather cond. for a wheelie

I will if its just a little windy, but if its gusting like 20 mph or more then fuck that. I have the wind blow me into a concrete lightpole back in the day when people were doing hella fast wheelies! Thats how I lost my leg. The police report said there were 25 - 35 mph gusts that night!

Now that I got my wheelies slowed down sometimes I will sometimes I won't depends on how I feel.

Re: weather cond. for a wheelie

My spot gets windy EVERY afternoon. Probably about a steady 20 mph wind coming through. Doesn't seem to affect my SS or staggereds too much, but boy does it fuck my sitdowns and tank wheelies up.
