| well we know we know the pros go all out and have the thumb brakes and such.. some of us part-time stunters stick to the more adrenaline rushing shit.. so it wouldnt matter.. so I would have to say, if your adding alot of ADDITIONAL shit to your bike to ENHANCE your tricks.. then maybe the next event coordinator should really give this issue some thought! bars and cages excluded. (Im talking about thumb brakes, dual rear brakes and excessive sprocket combos, etc. etc)

| Hater proof ![]() | i just thought a stunt is a stunt a wheelie is a wheelie no matter what you do to your bike it will never make it easy!! putting a thumb brake or bars just make stunting that much more interesting! TonyD said in some other post that he rode a bone stock bike for years and he had to do shit to keep up on whats going on ! cross up circles ? thats sick ! flamingo circles? thats sick I hear everyone talking about people using them for cross up shit you can only ride a cross up so tall until you loop, with a thumb brake you could ride a cross up so freakin tall it would be unbelievable! I take back anything i said about handbrakes and dirtbike bars or people modifying there bikes its all part of the game we are going to have to do these things if we want to further the sport ! peace J |

Yep, it's all part of the game. It's hard enough at some comps to have pro and amatuer let alone splitting it up again for stock or modified. Let whoever run whatever, if the guys that run stock don't think they need that stuff, let them compete withthose that do and put up or shut up.

| I think there should be different classes just because if you go to event you don't know what the judges are looking for and what they consider to be difficult ,hott or entertaining. I would like to be judged against competitors who are on bikes similiar to mine. personally I don't like the streetfighter, 12- bar ,thumb brake bikes . I ride for fun and stunting my bike with less modifications is more fullfilling to me. For example in dragracing they don't make pro stockers run against top fuelers, both teams have drivers who are talented, both cars had to go through tons of preperation , basically what I'm trying to say is that I don't believe an event can be judged fairly if everyone is riding bikes that are prepared dfferently.

| Mrs ATL Freestyle ![]() ![]() | I'd have to say that everyone has made a good point, it is hard to say whether or not there should be different classes. However I have an idea for judging, just like in a lot of olympic events you have to tell the judges before the comp what tricks you are going to pull & if you do not pull those trick then you don't get the points, & each trick has it's own predetermined point, so if you modify your bike & can't pull tricks then it really doesn't matter, definatly keep pros & ams, & maybe even SEMIPRO. Just a thought

| Registered User ![]() | i think the best thing tony d said is that he rides a freestyle sportbike, not a stock bike. its makes sense, these bikes were designed to race, not stunt. hes turning a race bike into a stunt bike. just like how guys turn dirtbikes into supermoto bikes. same thing stunnas just bitch more.

| Depends, when doing shows and stuff, the fans like stock bikes much more than streetfighters, cause they think that you've done something to the bike or whatever their reason is, I've heard several. They want to see what they can buy doing that stuff. I don't flame people for adding stuff on, because there are tricks out there that needs them, and it steps the game up. But as far as comps go, um.... I agree with her, and that it just needs to be more like the olympics. Maybe even having to list the mods done to it, so one person doesn't go rock a nice high, high chair, and someone else come by crawling in a high chair because of the thumb brakes, and the latter gets more points, Yall see what I'm getting at, difficulty needs to be clarified, and they might not even be in the same class. |

| heres what i think, the judges at the contests are the ones who decide what score each rider gets and they themselves know if a rider is stock or not so they should use that in determining their score. it just gets too confusing with all these categories like pro ameture, women men, modified stock, blah, blah, blah. for example, if a woman wants to be noticed she must compete with the men. if a stocker wants to get noticed he needs to compete in an open class. one last example, back to my skating days if a skater does a switchstance trick and throws his hands up to let the judges know that was switch then that is gay. he/she should through the trick in a combo where he shows he can do it both ways and not throw a hand signal like a fag....he the reason you guys even compete in the first place is to get noticed so do whatever it takes to win and if you cant keep up get out the way |
