Changing Clutch...

When changing clutch should I soak the plates in oil before installing ? ive heard yes and no and 30min or 48hrs ? idk which one to believe so any help is appreciated.

also any preferred clutch kit

Depends on the plates honestly.I do and I think an hour is sufficient.

I usually leave them in the oil overnight but it could be overkill

i try to soak them as loong as possible but sometimes at work i cant afford to wait a full day to install a clutch. soaking them for a few mins and rubbing the fibbers with your fingers is good enough. havent had a problem. and i always try to stay with OEM parts

I've changed a bunch of clutches. I've soaked them and not soaked them. Every time I've skipped it, I've ended up having to replace the plates because they get jacked up...maybe I'm hard on my clutches but I say always soak them.
