How long before you were "pimp"

I've been giving it hell on this street skooter since february. I started day one w/ the bike doing clutch wheelies in 1st for like maybe 1/4 mile cause that's all I thought the bike would do. I tried 2nd like a bastard but had nada on it.

Then people told me about this site and some others. So people say bounce and body position yada yada. next thing I knew I was doing some lame *** 1st gear standups etc. Well time passed and my freeway speed stuff got good. then I got a left rear peg (my bike's a salvage jobby) and I started 12'n the other day and got some slower **** w/ some gears. Granted I've had dirt bikes since I was 4y/o.......how long yall been getting after it? And where are you at. I know I'm feeble compared to many here I'm just curious how long the progress has been taking

thanks
Phil

i started this past april with a 2003 gsxr600. my mom almost kicked my *** when she saw what i was doin to my new bike but oh well i'm paying for it so i can do what i want is how i felt. when i started i could only do first gear wheelies and like 10 foot rolling stoppies. i also have had dirt bikes and quads almost my whole life so i think that had a lot to do with it but i think the biggest help was riding w/ my team mates from riding disorder and also all the guys from core 6 and xclusive freestyle riderz. I feel that i have progressed pretty good for the amount of time i've been on a street bike and actually doing this stuff but i don't know. i learned 12's about a month ago and this past weekend i learned sit down 12's and some other tricks. But i'd say the best way to go is to ride w/ people better then you

when I bought a bike last year I had no idea i would get into stunt riding. it is all about the people u meet and ride with. Chauncey was the first I saw to do a 12 last summer and since that day the quest has been on to slow it down. I scraped once last summer but then wrecked my bike. Got a gixxer 1 this year and learned a lot more tricks. If u are not in the stunt world u have no idea how hard it is to do a 12. So being at this site has made me progress and made me want to get my tricks all at balance point , no more power wheelies.

now I just got to learn how not to crash and then I wont have any down time

hell yeah. I started stuntin' mid april. Ridin' w/ my man prozak & swank & B who were way better than me. 3 weeks later I had slow wheelies & 12's. Im about 4 months into stuntin now rollin endless no throttle hands & goin' for some no hands & circles now. Im on stuntlife 24/7 watchin how & what people are doin' chasin' em down!

But what up Ridin' disorder - its jay From Reckless. He's right, ive seen him tear that silver gixxer 6 hundo up - he's lookin' real good.

riding with people better than you helps, but its not always an option.. for the most part I learned on my own.. but riding with people better definetley steps up your game rather quickly

I've been at it for a year, it's tough on the 600 but i'm making progress, been taking baby steps to everything cause if i wreck i gotta pay for it.... practice, practice, practice.... i go out every night after work, i'll be getting the 12's soon, just gotta slow it down some...

hey jay @ reckless what's up...you've definitely made a lot more progress in 4 months then i have. I need to start learning some sh*t. you make me look like that loser doin wheelies in first on the limiter. We gotta hook up sometime and ride cuz we got busted the other day and brent is workin on gettin the other spot back but for now we can't ride there. oh well maybe someday in the future i will learn the one handed no throttle hand nose grab wheelie thing but until then good luck on the circles

P.S. how's swank???

wow you guys as a whole seem like fast progressors. that's crazy! I thought I was coming along fast, then I hear about yall! but I also don't have anyone to ride w/ up here. I go to sac often and ride w/ a few good people but that turns into more of a social thing than it is practice. kinda sux to have to go 100 miles to see someone do a trick right. I try to watch vids and stuff but that only goes so far. I'm going to try and get alot better now then when I won't embarrass myself so my I'm gonna try to visit some of the bay area spots w/ the real good guys and try to learn a thing or two.

thanks for the input....it's definately motivation to try harder!

When I first looked into getting a bike, it was not because of stunting, just thought bikes were cool. Got one after bothering the hell out of Nags and Ice asking a ton of ?'s. Chilled w/them a few times, found SL, and its been downhill from there

Not really doing anything worthwhile to brag about, but give me till the end of the year
