Re: Why is the F4i and 636 > the cbr 600rr and R6?

Dang you guys are killing me!! I have come accross this forum a few times thanks to google searches, but when I came across this discussion I finally had to join! Ive had my 06 600rr for about 3 years now. I bought it as the second owner with only 4k miles on it. I just hit 20k. It was and is my first street bike and ive babied it the entire time ive had it.....ive always been fascinated by stunting but ive only gotten into wheelies the last few months. I was planning on continuimg to try and get better and eventually fully Stunt it out but some of the opinions on here about my bikes Stunt worthiness are starting to burst my bubble! Ive got money and time invested in my bike and had planned on keeping it for quite sometime, its not impossible to learn on this bike right??? I can clutch up power wheelies in 2nd, and am just just barely starting to hit the bp on stand up staggards also in 2nd, but still cant hold em there. I feel like im getting there though!!!!

This professional track racer told me R6 is best to start stock on the track but not at all good for stuntin(for a bigginer). GSXR is good on track too but subframe breaks easy simply because it is 2 pieces bolted on together instead of one long piece. F4i is pretty much made for stuntin.

My boy is buying his first bike and he want a brand new R6 or GSXR 750.... wish him luck!!!!!!!! lol

You don't "clutch up" POWER wheelies but you're right you're getting somewhere!

I know this is a very old thread but it kept my attention thru 8 pages so I thought I should at least some kinda feed back.
I'm fairly new to stunting.. although I have been riding quite a few years and have owned or riden many bikes I went with an R6 because I've always been a Yamaha fan, weight, size, procalimed durability engine wise. I'm a little guy compared to most and the R6 has lower seating position and is shorter and lighter than most, more comfortable seating position in terms of me feeling in control of the bike. Anything else is easily adjusted by aftermarket parts these days. I.e. bars, front/rear pegs, ect..

I've also put 30k of abuse on my 04 and the only thing bad I can really say about it is that the subframes are paperweights and the charging systems suck. I feel that it really doesn't matter what bike you choose if you arm it with the proper protective equip... Really just rider pref Stay Up!

R6 is money once you add a stronger subframe and fairing stay. The bottom end power is crazy.

600rr has all its power in the higher revs, so for parking lot stuff it's not the greatest

Re: Why is the F4i and 636 > the cbr 600rr and R6?

A newer ninja 650r is a good beginner stunt bike. It's a tough bike. Very smooth throttle control. All the torque u need. I have a 58 tooth sprocket and can stand up easy in 1 through 4. Just there aren't any parts for it. So u have to customize everything but I'm a welder so it doesn't bother me. I buy 636 parts and go from there as far as cages and rails and sliders go.
