i bought an 03 600rr purely for the fact that i think they're a sexy full fairing stunter, but! it has seriously put a damper on my learning curve. just changed my sub frame last week and it was a bitch to work on

What's the deal with em being so hard to work on?? How many different ways can a sport bike be set up....I havent wrenched on bikes but I would think a sub frame is a subframe is a subframe...only slight variations of each other(and so goes the rest of the parts), no?

um no. F4i is ez to work on. Subframe is one piece. 636 subframe is 1001 pieces, not so easy. Newer bikes are harder, for the most part.. but if your not an ape u can figure it out. lol.

yessir they can be downright retarded its like the frames are cast around the motor and the wiring harness can turn into a nightmare as well but you can still setup the 600rr as a good simple stunt bike it just takes three times the work as a f4i

Word. It's what I ended up pickin up so I'm gonna have to rock it for now and maybe I'll put it back to stock and sell it before I destroy it. The consensus definitely sounds like its not the bike to learn on or to work on. Thanks for the insight ya'll.

Re: Why is the F4i and 636 > the cbr 600rr and R6?

i had a yamaha 600 for my 1st stunt bike,it was easy to learn wheelies on it cuz it seemd to have slow reaction time.it didnt seem to have enough ***** to toss me so i could romp on it hard, then i got my ninjazx6 hahah now that was pure *****..you can tell just by hearing it rev that its mean..i had to put a +15 sprocket on it to calm it down..
i also recently got a 01 f4i ,i like this bike alot.its light its comfortable and fast.i bought this from a pro rider who has beat the **** out of it and so did the person he bought it from, and it still starts everyday..honda and kawi are the ultimate machines
