Re: Why is the F4i and 636 > the cbr 600rr and R6?

i still love my f4i but it feels soo crappy when i get on it after my 636. A F4i will not hold you back tho, guys have shown you can do anything on that bike, and the stock pogo sticks can stoppie good if you have oil in em. lol. Main diff between f4i and 636 is the kawi feels way lighter during everything. Gets to BP on stoppies easier, wants to highside drifts more, spins easier, etc. The one thing i like about my f4i more than kawi is the ez has way less engine brake. The kawi is harder for straight combos, and if your not careful you can look like a CHOPPY TURD on it...lol THe two bikes kinda force you to adopt different riding styles. On my f4i i used to rip the throttle like it was a fiddy, and throw it around. Kawi is so smooth and flows, but i miss shootin my honda out from under and stuff... idk.

gixxers break but can be ridden well. Feel alot closer to 636 than most other bikes. 06 gix that is.

r6, dunno.

started on the 05 r6 but it was twitchy for my squid ***. you do have to reinforce everything ie cage/subframe holla at Atown he has the dibs on both. The subframe makes the bike somewhat a tank in the *** end. It took alot of drops and didnt have a problem wit it. But i just picked up an 01 F4i and going to switch back to the R6 once my game gets up there.

my buddy cracked his frame the other day on a 636 i have a f4 and now a f4i which have both been thrown down much harder than my friend throws his down

And in addition to damage control... The newer bikes feel way to small for me (6'2") and the seat sits way too high for me so they just arent very comfy

i like my f4i its def. a tank but i wanna get a 636 or maybe a r6 just because even tho the f4i is great all around beginner bike its becoming a bit out dated i still love my f4i tho

your right there. The 636 pushes you way forward on the bike. Sitting and in SS, etc. You feel like the bars are in your lap, but i like that cuz im short. If i was tall it would probably suck. lol.

you cant use the "my buddy cracked his frame" logic when it comes to a bikes durability. there are wayyy too many factors involved. in my experience ive seen way more f4i frames cracking(in odd places too) than i have 636 or r6 but i still wouldnt say that an f4i cant handle abuse. i know that most any bike can handle a good amount of abuse if you set it up right.

Re: Why is the F4i and 636 > the cbr 600rr and R6?

i think f4i's are just balanced perfectly for lot riding, especially circle wheelies. like the geometrics and weight distribution of it just feels so great for those things. that and they are bulletproof. i rode a gsxr for a while and didnt mind stunting it, learned alot of **** on it, but the fact that its like riding a dorito and ready to crumble at a moments notice i wasnt happy about. i did crack the frame on it. 636 i believe people like because you cant buy an f4i anymore and its the next best thing, plus they seem very smooth and tight, but i have never ridden one.

ppl like 636's because they are far superior to the f4i in terms of suspension and power

I agree. Been rockin GSXR's for many years now, not a problem at all. The reason everyone hates on them is because they're told to on here. Sure the GSXR's take some work to strengthen the weak parts, just as other bikes do. The GSXR's are more twitchy then some other bikes, but not a problem if you know how to ride. Throttle/brake control is the answer...... I've seen more F4i's with problems then I have GSXR's. The 600RR is a royal pain to work on.....

Re: Why is the F4i and 636 > the cbr 600rr and R6?

Well **** ya'll thanks for all the feedback. My bad for not using the search tool... Well the 06 600rr is paid for and in route form NM to NC. To be honest it was a fleabay find

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

I'll have 2500 into it when it gets to my door. I won't be able to help but ride it, but maybe I'll end up putting it back to stock and reselling it so I can pick up an f4i. There are two f4i around me going for 2500 but they're stock. There's also a stock 05 636 I could have picked up for 3k. But I went with this one.... we'll see how it turns out. **** I learned to roll stoppies on a 99 ninja 750...can't be much worse than that right?

I'll have to do a search...but anyone got on what I should put on my check list to run through and make sure is reinforced on the 600rr before I newb it up?

much appreciation ya'll

Re: Why is the F4i and 636 > the cbr 600rr and R6?

the best cage for the 600rr is the fi cage . if you plan on leaving the upper on get the si sidemount clipons and with out a doubt get the omr subcage it will be the best money you will ever spend on that bike. a 60 tooth sprocket will work the best but a 50 is workable. fti makes a dual quad bracket also

Re: Why is the F4i and 636 > the cbr 600rr and R6?

Damn neil....I think boarder was just saying that a 636 may be better for you since you are a midget and he is 6'2''. He actually told me he had bought a new necklace the other day and was curious if you wouldn't mind coming over and hanging from it (like the ludacris song) hahaha....love you

in response to onewheel....Did you actually notice a different between throttle tube on a f4i and 600rr?? I put two of them up side by side and really don't see a difference at all
