Subframe strenght

so i have a steel subframe and for an extra peg I was thinking of drilling a hole and bolting a BMX peg onto the subframe and was womdering ir its strong enough for it.....It wont hit if I crash im just wondering ir it will support my weight.....

so the peg does not mount flat...the edges extend out as you see in the top photo...so when I tighen everything down im afraid the frame will bend in....does anyone know if this will happen?? should i just put a piece of flat metal between them to act like a washer?

ppl do it on aluminum f4i subs so i would think the steel would be fine.
