Re: SCS - Josh @ Star Custom Seats = Bad Business

Without gettin in the middle of all this BS i just gotta say I've had 4 sets of seats done by Josh so far, and am having another set done this week. And have not had one single problem so far. Obviously not everyone is down for payin that kinda money for seats, but why buy a Caddy, when u can get a kia... Why eat Lobster, when u can get sum fish sticks. Some people like to have nice shit, And those people are willing to spend the money for the best.... Which when it comes to seats means callin up SCS... and there are WAYYYYYY more people out there that 100% agree with me, than people that disagree.

And FYI i am not sponsored by SCS, just very satisfied customers.

Also the seats in the pic below, in addition to having sweet ass covers, Josh reshaped and added foam, and also put gel pads sunk into the whole driver and passenger seats to make them rediculously comfortable....

damn.. i just read the whole thread.. lol fuckn funny.

BuBash has a good point though.. doesn't matter how much money you spend on a product.. if you abuse the shit out of it, its going to get fucked up fast.

From the looks of the seat, you can see alot of wear and tear in the material. So his shoe is rubbing against the seat all the time. The seams looked like they held up pretty damn good. If the customer picked the material than its his problem.

He's a douchebag spending $250 on a seat. lol seriously.. wow.. That's for show bikes not stunt bikes.

on SCS side of the fence.. i'm sure the material didn't cost much.. He should've taken the seat back replaced that section and send it back with a warning. ' your first and only free replacement' just to avoid this whole situation.

that is what should have been done, you know damn well you could of redone it three times and STILL make money off it,and to make a PAYING customer happy that would be the right thing.NOW he did this and you know he at least took one person who may of been thinking of buying your product and no longer will, remember the customer is always right.keep em happy they will keep coming back

Re: SCS - Josh @ Star Custom Seats = Bad Business

what i was meaning by the fish sticks/ lobster comment is there's all these people sayin, "why would u pay that much when u can go to walmart n get fabric n do them urself"

the point i was tryin to make is there is ALOT of people in this world that are willing to shell out the cash for nice shit.... and when those people need seats done they call SCS ...... Not everyone wants to do shit the cheapest most half assed way...

Exactly

And SCS isn't the only seat company out there

I'd just be kinda iffy about purchasing from a company that won't stand by their word.

So, here's what I've learned: Buy the "stunt" seats. You know, the ones that were DESIGNED for what I'm going to use them for.

Re: SCS - Josh @ Star Custom Seats = Bad Business

I talked to Josh today about my seats and presto, problem solved. Should have my torn seats back by Monday. My warranty card wasnt expired even after 6 months. He is even giving me new foam for free too. My seats cost $150 originally and they were 1 solid color. Sometimes a phone conversation works better than an email. Just sayin...

Yeah it's too bad seeing a bike wih sparkling seats gives the bike style and character imo you just can't go overboard ad make it trashy, unless that's the look youre going for
