When did you feel comfortable...
When did you feel comfortable...
How long into bike riding did you start feeling comfortable to start stunting and doing wheelies and stuff?
I'm very new to riding (I rode in the street for the first time today). And even though I'm really interested into stunting, I don't feel I could start doing it for quite some time.

Re: When did you feel comfortable...
thats the first ****** smart thing i have heard a newbie say!!! now before you ask and get flamed. use the search to figure out how to wheelie and endo and set your bike up. your one freebie lol. and just give it time it comes with getting comfortable on your bike and all that good stuff.
Re: When did you feel comfortable...
theres a guy around here who got a 636 stunt bike and thought he could just jump on it and stunt..naww way harder then he thought..sold the bike..afteer you learn a basic balance point wheelie, more tricks open up..
Re: When did you feel comfortable...
Learn how to ride your bike first, give it atleast 6 month, then look more closely into stunting and maybe buy a stuntbike, but you need to be able to ride normally really well before you can even think about doing wheelies or else your just gonna hurt yourself
Ive been riding for 9 years, and stunting for 4 years

Re: When did you feel comfortable...
it dose take alot of time to learn to stunt with out bitching your self up. alot of times i would get pissed when i could not do something. and end up wrecking busting my *** up broken leg ect.
Re: When did you feel comfortable...
i had the initial shock of what these bikes were capable of and was a little intimadated at first since i had never ridden anything and jumped on a gsxr750. but within a few days and seeing others riding wheelies down the highway i caught the bug quick. too quick. make sure you are ready because you can get hurt fast by not being experienced enough to react correctly.
Re: When did you feel comfortable...
haha the better i get at stunting the worse i get at riding on the streets as far as taking a turn paying attention to stoplights and stop signs and lookin for cops

Along the same topic, Iv been riding for about a year, starting to do wheelies. very squiddy wheeleis at that. i crashed a couple times since i started doing wheelies and was just wondering....how many times did most people crash in the process of learning how to do a basic balance point wheelie...0-2-5?? do I just suck or what?! haha
Re: When did you feel comfortable...
I guess the concensus (SP????) is that ur not on a stop watch to start stunting, as long as you are feeling comfortable, then ur havin fun. And as long as ur being safe (yes, safe and stunting DO go hand in hand) then ur good to go

Re: When did you feel comfortable...
i have been riding for almost two years my first bike was a 91 zx600d it was a great beginner bike for me. it was all stock except for a muzzy exhaust and a air filter after a couple weeks of riding i was feeling comfortable on the bike so i started to try and wheelie it i couldnt get it to come up till i went -1 in the front but i still sucked. 8 months ago i bought a zx7r and just now can i hold it at the balance point. i wasnt sure if i ever would do a wheelie that actually looked like a wheelie. it took me a long time now i just have to shift into second
Re: When did you feel comfortable...
Been riding for a year now and knew when I bought my bike that I wanted to stunt. Took my a few weeks to learn how to do pow pows, then much longer to get ballzey enough to clutch the front end up. . .wrecked doing my 3rd highchair and decided that I needed to slow down and have gotten very good at tank spreaders (basically getting comfortable jumping up on the tank and getting the feel for that before throwing my leggs over the front end again.) Haven't found BP yet and can't do rolling stoppies yet, but like these guys have been saying it takes time dude. I want to push my luck all the time and get pissed when I let off the throttle and don't use my rear brake correctly when I clutch it up and the front end slams down, but that's better than looping and getting all screwed up. . .I'll loop in sooner or later, who am I kidding, LOL!
