905 Race railz touching down??

Has anyone experianced decking out these railz while cornering? A customer of ours was scrubbing both sides while cornering in the mountains which caused a wreck, a pretty bad one.

Re: 905 Race railz touching down??

I have a set on my 07 1krr and I had to cut the slider pucks down cause they were touching and now people behind me say I'm still close to touching on backroads. Not to mention the vibration from my bike (least that's what Aaron says) is breaking the welds, sent em back and had em rewelded and PC'ed and they did it again. Bout to take em off, not happy with em at all to be honest!

Re: 905 Race railz touching down??

I've always though about the outcome if I did touch rail to ground, they stick out way to far, tryin to get SI to fab me some since theirs are against the bike pretty much.... think they may come off today

Re: 905 Race railz touching down??

He needs to work on his body position. Getting off the bike more = less lean angle for a given speed and corner. First time I went to the track I had a similar problem, got some pointers from some expert racers, improved my body position, and was carrying MORE speed and LESS lean angle. Get off the seat folks, body pos. makes a HUGE difference!

still, hope he heels up fast and if he's going to ride like that it would be a great investment on his part to go to some track days!!!

not familiar with the 905's. I've run the Powers Race Railz out at Heartland Park on the road course, no problems. Plenty of corner clearance.

Re: 905 Race railz touching down??

seems like they are more stunt oriented anyways, twisty riders might wanna go with frame sliders even though they are worthless over 10mph, jmo

frame sliders help from breaking covers but your fairings get fucked
