I made a custom surround for my gauges, they are mounted on the front of the fuel tank. took some work, but looks/works great. Same thing as Wheelie posted above ^^^

You easily learn how far you can go on a tank. Carb bike has reserve too. Fill up when your friends full up. And your hot when your fan kicks on. Can usually feel it too. How you think us dirt riders do it?!
