i think they work out better than conventional tanks. there is no creases in them so no danger of kinking the tank and putting a hole in it, well unless u really suck at tank denting. theres no risk of denting it too far where the gas hole will bottom out cuz its nothing but open tank underneath. ive never had an issue with my 05 or 06 tanks. and they hold you in just fine.

i got both 04 636 and 05 636 and i can't say i like one over the other there both sick bikes to me but would 03-04 mainly stunnting and 05 for mainly track and street ride
