Just cleaned it with brake cleaner and put a layer of JB Weld on it. Once that dries I'll put another layer on and pray that it holds up. If not - fuckin motor swap time

Haha I have not really heard of that many SI Cages breaking mounts. We have sold dozens of them with no complaints

Well like I said I spoke to 4 other people on here who had the same crack in the same exact spot. I'm not complaining about the cage though - Id expect something to break from a huge pancake flip flop drop like how it normally hits the ground when I ride. Its protected my shit A LOT but when it hits hard enough - BOOOM your motor mount is cracked

Well if you guys ever want Custom Cages made, a friend of mine of in Jersey makes them and they are bullet proof. He builds outstanding custom bikes and does cages on the side for people who ask. He been around the industry for years.

Looks good but from what I know the front lower motor mount is not good to use on an F4i. From what I heard that shit will snap right off from a big drop.

Well all I know is he has tested some of his cage designs from a 6 ft high drop on the side with minimal damage and nothing broken.

Anyhow they will all do their jobs within limits haha.

Haha gotta love his work. We just got back from Carlisle Bike Fest with him and his wife (GF). He had the Vstrom Fighter, the New TL Cafe Racer and the crazy Motard he build there.
