Powers' Buell Cage

I have broken my primary cover too many times now, and I have let it down again!
And have to replace the primary cover, I will be on my 4th after I replace it.
Onced replaced, I will have spent enough money to buy two of these cages!!!

I had a feeling I should of bought a powers cage for this firebolt a long time ago,
but never had that extra push out the door.... it's next on my list for sure!!!

Anyone personally used a powers cage? What's its downsides? Does it scratch the
frame any bit? What were its effects on riding? How much does it weigh? Was
shipping fast? All other input praised

I've heard it can break the motor mounts, T or F ?

~~thanks

Guess he didn't use the Search option of the site...too bad. But yeah, if you search for Powers, you'll find a bunch of hate threads on NOT to buy their ****.

Re: Powers' Buell Cage

powers has horable customer service. it WILL take you over 3 months to get your part.. we actualy 6 becuase its not a popular bike. not sure who makes cages for a buell but I would strongly suggest not getting a powers. I have a powers yes its strong but I cant drift I cant make fast turns.. I cant even turn with a pass on the back with out scraping the damn thing on the ground. Do Not Get A Powers. Try Sick Innovations. and yes Ive heard alot about buells snapping engine mounts. not matter what cage.. but keep rocking it dude that bike is sweet.

dont let the pix fool you the only places that thing sees anymore is the lot.... the only thing on that bike that hasent been replaced is anything on the motor. and i fully agree that the customer service blows ***... it use to be prety good 2 years ago now you have to wait for almost everything

Re: Powers' Buell Cage

Powers makes a really good product. They just suck at cust. service. i have had their cage on my bike since 05 and not a damn thing wrong with it. every other cage i have seen (sic, 905, stunt aid) has broke or tweaked big time. If you have to wait a while for quality then that is just how it is. If Matt could just get the bitch out in 2 weeks he would be golden.

Re: Powers' Buell Cage

what ever happened to the psyco buells...? I thought I'd remembered seeing a section for them on this site???

would it be a good idea.... to swap out the aluminum motor-mount out with a cnc-machined steel one?

whats that...? is it that bolt thingy
is it hard to replace, and how much for it? could I cnc that thing??

well I dont think there is any other cage or protection system for a buell.... instead of those ugly frame sliders which will look worse with my polished frame..... nothing else besides powers huh? I knew powers has bad CS, but they will deliver some time or another, and I can wait.....
