929 questions????

What up 929 stunna's I just got mine today, a 2001 erion edition, the guy that I got it from tell's me there is a sensor that shuts the bike off when it falls over or also might kill the engine in a 12, do you guys know where the hell this sensor is and how do I get rid of it?? I must say these brakes or sick!!! Makes my R1 feel like it's got 2 inch drum brakes!! please let me know I'm just now getting to work on it and get a scrape bar made, I got the sprockets I wanna scrape now!!!

bike only shuts off, when i swing it down after parking, it practcially gotta b completely on its side u shut off

mounted to the speedo on the 954, prob the same on the 929. up under front fairring above headlight. I dont have any probs with it on my bike and really never heard any other ones on the 929.

Hey so are you saying I dont even have to worry about the tilt sensor?? I can 12 it and it will stay running?? I should have it stunt ready soon, I have cut the pipe down, getting some sprockets, and making the scrape bar and I'm ready to go, I got the apehangers on the weezy but when I get back on and hit the brake the bike is dead, cant wait to test out the 929, yaaaaa!!!

Couldn't tell you for sure but looking at this I'd think you have to connect the R/W and W wires after unplugging the sensor. I'd just unplug it and see if it starts, if it don't try short it, if it still don't start, watch for smoke!

Or hook up a voltmeter to the sensor and see if you can figure it out that way.

BTW: I just ordered the DVD, gonna email you another address to send it to in WA tho, so it goes quicker. Thanks

does any body know if any other triple clamps will fit on a 929 i want a flat one so i can mount dirt bike bars on it and by the way that sensor is only side to side not vertical

--my 12 bar is right up against the tailight and if i scrape for more than a couple feet or park tip over sensor kills it. been trying to override it but it works on resistance from switch itself

i never have a problem with it shutting off when 12 in but i havent 12ed all the way but im 2 inches from doing it and thats all the way back so i dont think you'll have a problem... my bike only has shut off when it has falling on its sides thats it and all you do is flip the on off switch and she starts right back up

damn talk about dredging up the past, this thread is a year and a half old

anyway on honda's you tie the outer wires together and tape off the middle wire . . . you can try searching for it, but I'm pretty sure about that . . .
