600rr?

Any one doin any good on the rr with out OMR subcage? Bike just doesn't feel good stock.. I can't get comfortable with stand ups. As I practice I get better with not choppin throttle but by that time my legs are sore as hell.. Is it Just me or is it 10x's harder stock?

Re: 600rr?

so what are you asking. . .and what bike have you ridin before because the 07-08 600rr is a lot different in relation to where the rear pegs are located. . .

Sorry for being unclear... I was asking if anyone could do stand ups on OMR subcage but not stock? Mine is 04, I rode my old buddies 03(same bike basiclly) he had OMR and I rode that thing like a champ... Of course his was geared a lil different and turned out clip ons, hb and what not... Mine just doesn't feel as comfy as his did?

Re: 600rr?

you can kill a 600rr with out an omr subcage but the better peg position just makes it easier and more comfortable ....

it also keeps the pegs from wanting to fold up on you in a wheelie and it is a whole hell of alot stiffer and stronger then the stock rear peg brackets

I just got rid of an 03. Little trick that worked for me was to swap the left bracket to the right & right to the left.

THis puts the peg about 2" farther back and helps alot.

Only problem is when the pegs were folded they pointed towards the front but when they're out they cant fold up on you mid whoolie this way

Just temporary while you save up for the OMR

Re: 600rr?

they like to fold forward in staggered position when you do that and the peg wont fold up in a crash so they tend to snap off ..not always but it does happen

+1 could happen no doubt.

That's just a temporary fix I did but I forgot to add my disclaimer

If you want to do it safer then:
To fix that you can get a set of those cheap pegs-$20 that are round so you can flip them around too & then they flip and lock like stock. The stock pegs wont swap sides unless they are upside down which makes them useless.

So long story short:
You have stock brackets (R & L swaped) with aftermarket round pegs

Or just wait and save your money up for OMR

Re: 600rr?

My old 05 600RR had the stock rear pegs, although i was considering getting a OMR subcage for a long time but then i traded it in for my motard, but i was doing alrite on it, but i was stunting something alot more cramped before it

OMR might be able to tell you if he can remember hahahahahaha

they wont help in a gorrila srape or any thing like that but they do stiffen the subframe from side to side because the cross bar ties the two sides together and they also keep the rear peg bracket mounting tabs from bending in or snapping off becuase like i said before they tie the two sides together ...

if you have a twelve bar i suggest connecting two straps from the twelve bar mounting points to the rear sets but even then the 600rr subframe isn't the best subframe for bar tricks
