Gearing will make almost no difference for your wheelies until you are wheeling STEADY under 15mph.. Now doing wheelies under 10mph, and doing circles, are easier with gearing. But if you can't rock idle, you have no reason to re-gear! You have PLENTY of gearing right now. edit: and incase you think OMR is just a badass, and thats why he can do it on stock sprockets.. Here is my squid ass, the first day I learned to control a scrape, stock gearing.. I also was hitting 2+ circles on stock gearing before I re-geared my bike Last edited by Towlieee; 09-04-2008 at 01:05 PM. |

Well from the geared bikes I tried, and watching my friends add gearing before they are ready, all I've noticed is them get a whole lot more choppy compared to there super smooth wheelies with stock gearing.. And wouldn't -1 +3 pretty much be the same as +6? | |

| Re: looking 4 gearing advice on my 01 zx6r Iv seen people who are not ready for gears ride choppy wheelies thinking its easy. but watch them eat crap because there not ready. Always respect your bike . Just think if its that much easier to get up its that much faster you will land on your back if your not ready.Just letting off the gas and hitting the brake could send you over the handle bars on a geared bike . |
