most new 600s top speed is right around 160 maybe 165, with that gearing your prob topping out around 135 real speed, not indicated.

i dont know what u mean but either way it cant be right. my r6 was -1 +5 and i could easily get the speedo to read in the high 180s and if you have a speedo healer theres no way your getting an actual 165 out of a geared bike that would be lucky to hit 165 stock geared

yah speedos come right from the factory with pretty significant errors, only true way to know ur top speed is gps or radar. if you look at any respectable motorcycle magazine that tests top speeds youll see no stock 600 is making real high numbers. thiis year either the r6 or the 600rr was the 1st 600cc to reach 170mph

yep r6

Re: looking 4 gearing advice on my 01 zx6r

okay bro here goes i ride an 02 zx6r same bike as u! going down 1 in the front is the same thing as going up 3 in the back, so plus 6 or 7 would be good 10-14 is good for street or lot, but u still need to learn how to balance and slow u wheelies down b4 gearing huge!
