Your clutching it up fine from what I see and hear. To slow them down Iv always got the bike up to balance point as fast as possible. Went a little past that and let engine breaking take over to slow it down. Seats it right back on the BP.

Reason I do it this way. No hand break on these motards

Re: Squidly Whoolies! Seeking Proffesional Help!

Idle a litter higher. I always use the passenger pegs with my left leg and cover the rear break with the right foot. clutch it up harder so it gets up high to the BP without gaining much speed. Higher is the key with some break control.

But what do I know? lol :YEAH

Re: Squidly Whoolies! Seeking Proffesional Help!

everyone says lock legs lock arms but u see people more comfortable with a slight bend in them....straight your arms a lil more..not saying lock them...do whats confortable clutch a tad hard...dont be scared to give it gas........use the brake when it goes past bp....i dont even got a rear master cylinder on my bike in avatar thats engine brake will bring you back down from that high so imagine were u can bring your bike back down to two from with a brake.

Re: Squidly Whoolies! Seeking Proffesional Help!

Ok sounds good! I usually turn the idle up to around 3k. Thanks for the advice guys...I feel a little better when ppl actually see the suckass rather than me just explaining the problems! Peeps I know are too good to ride with squids...so i practice by me damn self!

Re: Squidly Whoolies! Seeking Proffesional Help!

i just started learning idol and its easiest for me to come to a complete stop and bam clutch that **** up and grab break and work it across the park lot. when u come to a stop it seems to come rite to BP with the minimal amount of speed and starting slow is nice that way u dont have to try to slow it back down. now the problem im running into is i cant keep the ******* bike strait it wants to go left rite from the git go and i no its me doing something different and screwing it up. but u look like me 2 weeks ago just keep going back a lil more till idol takes over and all u got to do is work the break. but dont turn that idol up if ur not using the break cause if u do idol slow and bring it up to BP it will keep going back no more engine break found this out the hard way LOL
