Retro-fitting Steering Dampers?!

Anyone ever heard of this? Seems like it would be pretty easy and save me some cash... Im looking to retro-fit a stock busa damper to my 05 600rr? Any thoughts on this? Im sure someone has done this before.... Any write ups on fabrication on the hondas or kaw 636's?

Re: Retro-fitting Steering Dampers?!

I once put a OEM Suzuki Damper on an old SRAD. Used a mounting kit for a HyperPro that I got for $40 and modified the damper to fit in it. Put 15w fork oil and that **** feels pretty nice...I'd say if compared to a GPR...it feels like a 5 setting.

Re: Retro-fitting Steering Dampers?!

I didnt realize the busa damper was so much thicker than a 600. Looks like itll be pretty simple. Im going to mount it to the left strut and fab up a mount to the frame. Ill deff have to cut up the plastic fairing on that side. Ill post pics of the project...
