about the front master cylinder , so finally I put on 2006 gixxer 1000 master today on my bike to work on handbrake with single caliper - full throttle inc...so I went out for a ride and its pimp. everybody keeps sayin it sucks and aint worth it but sureeeeeee it is worth it and even better than 05 636 front master. so soft and touchy

2006 gixxer 1000 front master is the shitnutzzzzzzzz fo sho.

As long as your shit is bleed right it dont really matter. I used like some shitty zx7 front brake on my f4. Guess how old that was and it was fine, one finger for everything. I wont spend 300 on a master when a gsxr works just as fine.

Gsxr's are a noble steed. They are just mis understood. I've ridden everything now and for some reason the gsxr is just comfy and its good for a street bomber too.

I bought an 06 JIXTER 1k lever cuz thats what everyone told me was "hot shit" for a hand brake lever besides a Brembo..... I didnt even get all the air out and it worked 10x better than the 954 master I put on which SUCKED! Im pretty sure that I didnt have ALL the air out of the line with that lever, but it was rock hard and I had to full fist it to lock the tire up. Before I had that on there I had a nissen lever which I believe is a hydraulic clutch lever for a zx7.... that thing worked better than the 954 master but still wouldnt lock the wheel up with anything short of 4 fingers........ I'm giving the jiggy lever a FAIR chance.

i turned the idle down all the way... im tryin to use the handbrake in panic mode only. a little give will probably help keep me from mousetrapping lol. glad the whole new setup is working well for you

I'd still pick the gsxr 1000 over any other for a street litre bike no doubt. I did a couple of staggereds on my mates 06 r1 not that I posess major stunt skills yet but that rear peg position was a million times worse than my 07 600rr rear pegs. And thats bad!

Mine wouldnt bleed unless i had it flipped the proper way, ie bleed it on the right clipon. Nothing really special to it, i dont have any kind of special tools or vacumes so i just put fluid in and start pumping, cracking till i get some pressure, then start from the top first at the master bleeder, then the banjo bolt, then the bottom banjo then its good to go. Take it out for a good solid rip and do it again then its cherry.
