Re: Stunting on a CBR F4 ??

Hey do any of you guys have a 12 bar on your F4? I bought a Powers flatbar only to discover that i would have to cut off my whole tail end to get it on so i returned it. Does anyone know of a flat 12 bar that I can put on without cutting my tail off (i don't mind cutting slits in it to allow the bar to go in) and that doesn't require drilling my subframe?

Someone told me that I can get a roundbar and put it on the inside of my tail and it'll just scrape thru the plastic on the tail and then hit the bar. Is this my only option? Thanks.

The guy who had my F4 before me had a custom one made and said it was pretty inexpensive. It had two slits cut in the tail and had two positions drilled into the sub frame. I was slamming the tail down pretty hard when i was learning and i never reinforced the sub frame and I've never had a problem.

I love my F4. Only complaint is it does flood a little bit when it gets tipped. You gotta gear it with the carb though. It likes to be a little higher RPM to get enough vacuum to suck the fuel and air in. I've got a 60t sprocket for sale. $65 shipped. I barely used it. Only 3 tanks of gas on it.

525. I just used a chain breaker and spliced in the extra links to my stock chain. I didn't want to buy a whole new chain. I can hook you up with some links for free if you buy the sprocket.

I have a 70t on mine and it tops out at 115mph hitting redline

Re: Stunting on a CBR F4 ??

I just picked up a F4 and I love it. Awsome bike to learn on. My gearing is -1+7 and its perfect. Since I got my F4 Ive been in the lots and I havnent been riding streets much at all but when I do ride streets it doesnt rev bad on the highway at all, and still has a good top speed. And in the lots its awsome gearing too. So far I havent had any problems at all with the carbs. My 12bar is shorter than 12, its cut even with the subframe so its further back than most 12bars and even back that far when its on the bar it doesnt have problems unless you keep it on it. I still cant hit the bar and come off but I can park it on the bar and if I park it and dont keep it on it for long it doesnt flood out and no problems. Ive been working on idle and coasters and no problems with the carbs on eather. Definatly an awsome bike to learn on.
