lowering the rear

I rode a buddys gsxr 600 who had it lowered , and it felt real comfortable, like i could have more control, so thinking about lowering just my rear. Anyone done this or against it?

Re: lowering the rear

lowering a bike will make it harder to wheelie and stoppie and will increase the chances of u bottoming out when u come down from wheelies and stoppies. how much time do you really spend standing with ur bike not moving, im only 5'6 and i have no troubles on a stock height bike.

Re: lowering the rear

Good to know, im trying to slow wheelie was thinking that it would make it easier to drag a foot and pop it from a stand still
