Fibreglass race fairings?

so im definatly wanting to go back to ff and i know there are a few guys out there running race fairings and i havent come across any that are made out of abs so im assuming there fibreglass so i just wanted to hear some feedback before i buy a set and get them painted up!

i was thinking of just getting the front/side fairings and keeping the oem tail because i heard fibreglass cracks easier especially under pressure?

so yeh wats up with em?

Re: Fibreglass race fairings?

I had a bike with fiberglass fairings and it wasn't to bad...but it all depends on brand. Some brands crack super easy but some brands are super flexible and will handle a crash.

Re: Fibreglass race fairings?

Cheetah racing plastics, i just got em for my 08 zx-6 and they fit great, I bought a set for my gsxr 1000 stoppie bike from a no name company on ebay and they fit horrible and cracked just from trying to install them.

Re: Fibreglass race fairings?

cheque out amcn for race glass, try & stay local if you can shippin from the u.s is killer. i got a ff gixxa6 stunter with glass, glass is easyer to repair & has a little more flex than stock plastics, glass is always a pain in the arse to fit, but worth the trouble.

I had a set of these for a while. They are light and VERY flexible. Price isn't too bad either.
