Re: My first whoolies!! :D

I pull in the clutch and slow the bike down.. then when I'm ready I juice the throttle and let the clutch go. I'm pretty much at the same point you are. I broke my handbrake off the other day and I was like fuck it, I'm not ready for that yet anyway. Threw on a Moose EZ Pull and cut it down right away after I broke my old perch. I LOVE it. My buddy just went from a 45 rear to 60 rear on his 05 636 and loves it. You may want to try throwing a bigger sprocket on there. I'm running a 58 on my F4i. Although I have heard on here that learning with stock gearing is the best although I'm not sure why that would be true.

Re: My first whoolies!! :D

another great idea is to have some video tape you so you can go and pop it up like your doing now. then go back and see oh im only that far off the ground then go a little more and a little more and a little more. Eventually you will see how far up you get the bike and how far you are from the ground after watching the tape and be able to judge for yourself

bigger sprocket, twitchier throttle not as smooth, and is way more responsive(for example. you twist the throttle, don't know brake control, end up on your ass). that's why it is typically better. people have different learning ways and curves tho.

Re: My first whoolies!! :D

So i think i figured out a major problem, my tires and suspension suck. The tires are too slick, dont warm up and the suspension isnt set up for my weight which makes the bike very stiff. Every time tonight i tried a wheelie over 7k the tire would spin and the bike would barely jump. I guess I'll just wait till next week when my corsas get in

Re: My first whoolies!! :D

I tried both, dumping it makes spin then jump up the normal amount and slipping just spins and jerks. I dont want to get used to revving to like 10k to get it at even 10 o'clock cause when i get new sticky tires I'll loop it first time out. Damn race tires.

+1 my tires are showing threads, and it will still jump up, it walks like a biatch on the highway, but it still jumps right up.

Re: My first whoolies!! :D

Alrighty, well lowered my tire pressure today, it was at 36 o.O Helped a shit load, didnt slip once! Also, today marks the end of my first whoolies thread as I now can consistently wheelie! It was kind of odd how it happened, I put on my headphones and the rhythm of the music lined up my clutch and rev perfectly. I'm a musician in my freetime so 3 counts= one height and 5 counts = anothe height. It''s awesome! Also, my practicing RB plan worked so well! When i get really high up (for me) I instinctively tap the back brake. It usually brought me down but a few times i actually rode it out with throttle RB control, it was soooo cool! So now, I bid this thread goodbye, and will return with the "my next slightly better whoolie thread!!!"

Thanks for the help everyone :D
